"The Astronaut" is the the first official solo release by JIN. It was co-written by Jin himself and Coldplay. It was released in two version (version 01 and version 02), their differences mainly aesthetic and merchandising-wise.

The Japanese physical edition sold more than 100,000 copies on its first day.
