Xiah JunSu's vocal prowess (inherited from his mother, who used to be a singer) was discovered when he was 12. He trained for 6 years before debuting as part of TVfXQ. Xiah wanted to be a soccer player but after seeing H.O.T perform the song Candy on TV, his new dream was to sing on stage.

In November 2007, a commercial was released featuring numerous Korean pop stars, such as BoA and himself. A new band will come out of this commercial, called "Anyband", and it is rumoured there will be a song released as well.
