Folder was an R&B group that came from the Okinawa Actors School. The group consisted of five girls and two boys and were all quite young when they made their debut on January 18th, 1997. The lead singer of the group, Daichi, was dubbed "Japan's Smallest Soulman". The group's singles contain originals songs but also covered songs by groups like The Jackson 5 with the songs (ABC and I Want You Back).

In 2000, a spin-off group called Folder5 debuted with the five females of the group.
