Hatsune (2009)

Hatsune (初音) is a Japanese pop singer-songwriter on avex trax. Born in the Osaka Prefecture, she was named Hatsune, meaning "first note," by her music-loving parents. She began taking ballet and piano lessons at an early age, and in her fifth year of elementary school, began writing and composing her own music. She has since written over 80 original songs.

She debuted with the single, "Koi, Hanabi" on September 5, 2007 under her real name Okumura Hatsune (奥村初音). In the year 2009, she changed her stage name to Hatsune (初音).
