KIX-S was a Japanese pop rock band that was active from 1991 to 2004.

The grouped formed in 1990 with hopes to sound like the rock band B'z with Hamaguchi on vocals and Akata on guitar. Their first released was the album KIX-S on August 1991 and didn't release a singe until little less then a year later.

In 1997, the group changed their name to TheKIX-S and then released their two best of albums. After the last album was released, the group took a hiatus in 1998. However, the band finally split up six year later in 2004 to have each member focus more on their solo careers. Akata would go on to open a musical school in the same year. And Hamaguchi would start up her solo career under the name TSUKASA☆ over at the avex label.
