Kana showed an early interest in music at a young age. She was only sixteen when she held her first live concert; from there took two years for her talent to be recognized. She was then offered a deal and signed with the indie label [[Teichiku Entertainment]]. Kana released her first single, "[[Hebi-Ichigo]]". She shocked her listeners with her unusual voice that is often described as "a dying cat".

The album covered more types of material then Kana's previous releases; for example, the song "[[Hadaka]]" was a soft piano number which showcased Kana's growth as an artist.
