Metis is a female Japanese reggae artist signed to the Nippon Crown record lable. She is known for her soulful voice and her single Ume wa Saitaka Sakura wa Madakaina. Her stage name, "Metis" is a word of French origin meaning "mixed", it is also the name of a first nation in Canada.
