Rebirth is the second album released by Gackt. It was first released on April 25th, 2001 as the standard edition. It comes in book form with the lyrics on a large folded insert. Two months later a special edition was released, it comes with a Gackt-logo original shoulder bag, a raw photoset (3 pictures), and a special designed CD case. In 2006 along with MARS, MOON, Crescent, and DIABOLOS, as a part of the Gackt PREMIUM COLLECTION series, the album was re-released again. This edition features the remastered SACD (Super Audio CD) album, housed in a 31cm×31cm deka jacket, a B2-sized poster, and a 30cm×30cm sized booklet.
The first release of the album reached #3 on the Oricon chart, where it charted for 21 weeks, selling 124,955 copies. The special edition reached #33 on the Oricon chart, where it charted for a week. While the deka jacket release reached #55 on the Oricon chart, where it charted for two weeks.
