Information
Makiko participated in the Miss Seventeen Contest with Onyanko Club Grand Prix on August 10, 1986 and passed, becoming the 42th member of Onyanko Club. She later went to formed the group Ushirogumi Hikaretai with Ikuina Akiko and Kudo Shizuka.
When Ushirogumi Hikaretai broke up in 1988, Makiko went to embarked a solo career with the debut of her first single, Yaritai Houdai, on July 1988. Although her first single was a sucess, her second single did poorly. Makiko retired from the world of show business and married the son of the Meira Group's president in 1998. She has given birth to two children and now resides in Nagoya.
