"Scarlet" is the 15th single released by Spitz. The title track was used as theme song for the dorama Melody. The single includes a live version of "Umeboshi", from their debut album Spitz, recorded on May 26, 1996, at Nagoya Century Hall. The single reached #1 on Oricon charts, and charted for 12 weeks. As it sold 600,370 copies in 1997 it become the #47 single of the year.
