Seventeen Club was formed in 1984 after Kudo, Kiyohara, and Shibata won the Miss Seventeen Contest. They released their debut single, entitled "Suki Futari Tomo!", on January 1985. After the second single, Kudo Shizuka left the group and Seventeen Club countinued as a two member group for a year before the group finally broke up.
