Melocure promoting "Home & Away" (2005)

Melocure (メロキュア) was a duo composed of Hinata Megumi and Okazaki Ritsuko. Formed in 2001, the duo released several singles and in 2003, released their first album entitled Melodic Hard Cure. This album contained several songs used as anime themes including Itoshii Kakera, Meguriai (UFO Princess Valkyrie), 1st Priority, and Himawari (Stratos 4).

On May 5, 2004, at the age of 44, Okazaki suddenly passed away of septic shock (infection of the blood), effectively disbanding the group. However in late 2005, Melocure released one more single called Home & Away that featured only Hinata, before ending indefinitely. The song was used as the anime Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo's opening theme song.
