tokage is a Japanese band. The origin of the band name comes from a dream their lead vocalist had of pink lizards (tokage).

Information

In the band's early stages, Kabata and eiri were vigorously performing live on the streets. They were also pushing demos and holding live shows wwhenever and wherever they could. This caused their fanbase to slowly, but steadeily, grow. Currently they are focusing on performances at live venues with the help of supporting members.mainly focusing on live houses in the form of bands plus supporting members.

On September 5, 2007, they released the demo album tokage infinity. Immediately afterwards, Kabata goes from having blonde hair to dark, their songs changes from J-rockto J-pop.

After the release of the album, they launched a live band in addition to the base and drum supports. They participated in contest style events and entered the "Grand Final" at Tokyo Band Summit 2007, hosted by YAMAHA.

In 2008, tokage expanded their place of activities not only to Tokyo, but also in Yokohama and elsewhere to develop live activities. On 28th August 2008, thye received a semi-Grand Prix at DAIBA MUSIC FACTORY 2007-08. The regular program Sunkiss side-up of tokage! started airing as a supplementary prize.

On October 3, 2008, they released a press release stating they were releasing a mini-album entitled Sunny. At the same time Sunny Side UP!!! will be held as their first organized event. On January 11th 2009, which was the 2nd anniversary of the first live, they held their first one-man live [[Shitto no Kaiji Nanno] at Shibuya O-Crest. At the end of the year, they also appeared in Zenryoku Toukyuu '08 Fuyu held at Shibuya O-East, O-West and others, and gained experience on a the big stage.

On December 20, 2010, a one-man live called RAINBOW of midwinter was held for the CD release commemoration of their first album, Hello, set for release nationwide on March 4, 2011.
