ALADDIN (band)

ALADDIN (アラジン) was a Japanese rock band from 1980 to 1983. The band formed at Nagoya University of Commerce & Business as a folk group in 1980. However, the group later took a Rock 'n' Roll style to the music, a decision that made them a hit among the audience.

A year later in 1981, the band compete in the Yamaha Popular Song Contest and won the grand prix. They released their first single, "Kanzen Muketsu no Rock 'n' Roller", later that year. The band broke up in 1983 due to unknown reasons. But, the band got back together to do a performance on the television show 27 TV twenty years later.
