"because of you" is the second single released by Stephanie. The title track was used as the second ending theme for the anime KISS DUM -ENGAGE planet-. It also follows on as her second ballad in a row. The first press of the single features an original anime deka-label OBI strip. The single reached #50 on Oricon charts and charted for eight weeks, selling 7,898 copies.

The PV for "because of you" was directed by Itaya Hiroyuki. It alternates between scenes of the present Stephanie shot in monochrome in a black-coloured room, and home videos of Stephanie's childhood. Most of the home videos are from the early '90s, and some feature scenes with her brother.
