Information

Fukatsu Eri started her career in show business when she won the grand prix award for Miss Harajuku Grand Prix contest. The first thing she did was in the movie 1999nen no Natsuyasumi in 1988. She went on to act in various films, televisions, and commercials which helped her to reach the status of fame after the 1988 JR Express Christmas commercials. Many of her roles have won various awards like the Yokohama Movie Awatds, Japan Academy Awards, and Asia Film Awards.

Fukuatsu also had a small career as a singer, debuting in 1988 with the single "Marionette Blue" under the name Kougen Rie. After that single, she released other singles under her real name.

Trivia

• She was classmates with former Sakurakko Club and idol singer Ogada Kanako at the Horikoshi High School.
