Inoue Shoko

Inoue Shoko (井上昌己) is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Inoue started writing songs in elementary school. But, she didn't get her start in a music career till after wining the grand prix for the Nation-Wide High School Song Contest in 1984. She also went on to and passing the audition for Taurus Records while in college. She released her first single, "Merry Laulan no Shima", in 1989.

Her big break didn't come until 1993 with the single "Koi ga Suteki na Riyuu". That same year, Inoue released the album Ai no Kamisama Koi no Tenshi that would establish herself as a singer-songwriter. She would also later appear in various shows like InterFM's HOT　WAVE and Heart in Radio.
