Soon after, she traveled to Los Angeles for vocal lessons after her high school graduation. She released her first single, "Doyoubi to Pen to Udedokei / Kaze wo Kanjitai", a year after in 1994. Her biggest hit came in 1995 with the single "Hana", a song originally done by Kina Shoukichi.

In 2003, Ishimine changed labels from Toshiba Emi to PRHYTHM. Three years later, she married guitarist Ishizaki Hikari.
