"Niji no Recipe" is the 11th single released by Sukima Switch. It was released in two versions, a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD Only edition. The single was released almost two years after their previous single "Marine Snow", and it was their first single to feature an acoustic track instead of the regular instrumental, which was included on their singles since their debut. The single was also their first one two be released in Blu-spec CD format (limited ed. only).

The title track was used as opening theme song for the TV show JAPAN COUNTDOWN in May. The song "Shizuku" was used as opening theme song for the anime Kemono no Souja Erin, while "A Angle" was used as insert song for the mobile drama 8 Millimeter. The single reached #5 on Oricon charts, and charted for 11 weeks. As it sold 35,919 copies in 2009 it become the #180 single of the year.
