Osawa Akane's career began when she was three years old. Because of her grandfather's connections to the entertainment industry, she was able to obtain acting roles as a young child, and she was part of "Tensai Terebi-kun," among other programs.

From 2001 she became a model and could be seen in the junior fashion magazines Pichi Lemon and Fapri. However, she has modeled very little since 2004 and instead has been doing regular talent work, like appearing on variety shows. In 2007 she and Sonim teamed up for the duo tomboy; they have since released one single.

Trivia

Osawa's grandfather, Osawa Keiji, is a former professional baseball player; his team was the Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters. He was their supervisor and managing director. Additionally, the late Osawa Kiyoshi and Osawa Kimio (also baseball professionals) were her great uncles.
