PalmSugar is a Japanese idol unit based in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi. On season 1, they produced by Kobayashi Azusa.

The search for members for PalmSugar started in March 2013, and they made their debut as an idol unit with three members in September 2013. They were a local unit based in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi to promote the development of the performing arts culture of the city.

In September 2014, their official site was taken down assuming the unit is disbanded. They did perform live as a four member group at the end of August 2014 according to idolmanual.com.

Their agency seem to refer to any pre-planned changes in the groups as «seasons», and the site was taken down as the group was to enter a new season.

Moe Natsume, Hikari Kanda and Shino Mochidzuki were the three original members (Season 1). It is unknown what happened for season 2, but for season 3, six new girls joined the group (Miyu Hashimoto, Shiori Haruna, Mayu Hinata, Arisu Haruna, Miyu Sasaki, Mina Nanase) and the three original members were gone for unknown reasons. For season 3.5, Mayu Hinata and Mina Nanase left the group and the announcement of season 4 was made in March 2015. Their official site statee they were planning a large member recruitment and are still taking applications as of January 2016 (or the project has been scrapped).
