"Ranbou to Taiki" is the second single released by Soutaiseiriron; this time, they collaborated with trumpeter Ootani Yosio. "Ranbou to Taiki" and "Summer Of Nowhere" were used as the theme song and image song for the movie Ranbou to Taiki. The single's cover was illustrated by anime director Tsurumaki Kazuya of Shin Seiki Evangelion fame, with the idea of Yakushimaru Etsuko's character (Tsumuraki previously illustrated the Ranbou to Taiki novel in 2008).
