- Information
THIS IS HOW I AM is the third studio album released by Atae Shinjiro. It was released in a regular CD-only edition, and a limited, made-to-order special edition via the mu-mo shop. The limited edition came with a signed poster, an acrylic stand, and a photobook. Pre-orders of the limited edition also came with a chance to view a live rehearsal for Atae's 2026 Zepp tour and an opportunity for a group photo afterward, or to receive a 1-minute live video call from Atae.
The album's title refers to Atae's publicly coming out as gay in July of 2023, and his desire to live his life true to himself. Additionally, for the first time, Atae participated in writing, composing, and producing all the tracks on the album. This is his first album released on the independent label True Self Records, following his departure from avex trax in 2023.
