Song Pages

Hello. Why are you removing the album / single names underneath the images? They are supposed to be there, For example: what you did here - http://www.generasia.com/w/index.php?title=Love_Brick&diff=359466&oldid=354336

Pikirumuzu06:44, 26 June 2013

Oh it is because the original image had no image of the track which is the suppose to be the same as the single's cover, unless it had its own (in this case it didn't). For example here: http://www.generasia.com/wiki/7_Colors_(Mizuki_Nana). I'm sorry, I didn't mean to remove anything on purpose.

When it comes to release titles, long works such as (mini-albums and albums) are written in italics and shorter works (singles and songs) are put in quotations. Here are some examples of more complete song pages: here are a couple to start.

For Chihara Minori's album HEROINE, why was the label removed?

Chizakura16:12, 22 January 2017

The record label is not part of the format, and it should be removed from release pages. Since the bulk of her career is under Lantis and it is quite redundant to state that on each of the sub-sequential releases. Any important information or label changes should be noted in the information, just as it is on HEROINE.

Please remember to include the "Information" heading into the song pages, just as on the several examples I listed above.

Is there a proper guide for how pages should be formatted?

Chizakura17:18, 22 January 2017

I was working on this Style Guide:Singles, and it could be applied but it's focus is on the single pages. The pages I listed before are going to be some of the best references for other song pages.

Themonkeyofdoom17:29, 22 January 2017

Japanese Wikipedia is also a good source of information for singles and albums. That's where I pulled some info about "Defection".

Themonkeyofdoom17:33, 22 January 2017

There were a couple categories that you adding that we have under different names already: Category:Debut Single, Category:Anime Theme Song, Category:Game Theme Song, Category:Anime Insert Songs.

So for release titles and their punctiation we try to follow the English grammar rules. Here they list out what kinds of titles get italics and what get quotations.

Thank you for all of your contributions! Looks like you're on the way to completing her discography!!

Please remember to included the "Information" heading on Song Pages.

Tagging Images

Hi again,

Do you mind tagging the images you upload? That way, other editors and I wouldn't have to go back and tag them ourselves.

Thanks. (:

Sx3Ne06:05, 18 November 2016

Sure, but how do I tag? Sorry >.<

Chizakura06:35, 18 November 2016

You can put the tags in the "summary" section, which is right below the destination filename (:

Some example tags would be: Category:Mizuki Nana Images, Category:CD Cover, Category:Promo Images, etc..., depending on the image you're uploading.

Hope that helps,

Sx3Ne07:50, 18 November 2016

You can also add tags by selecting the "edit" tab of an existing image.

Reminding you to tag your images! :)

Which images did I forget to tag? After the first message above, I've been making sure I tag images when I upload them.

Edit: Never mind, sorry about that >.<'

Chizakura00:22, 26 July 2017

Please be aware of the "character song" tag for Walkure's songs.

Thanks,

Sx3Ne04:07, 27 July 2017

Okay!

Chizakura04:15, 27 July 2017

When uploading images, please try not upload duplicates. If you have a higher quality photo, you can click on the image and upload a new version of it. If you need to add or change the categories, you can edit them. If you need to to upload a different file format or something please place a {{delete}} tag on the old image so one of us mods can delete it.

Empty Information

Hi, when creating new pages please remember to leave out empty information, such as an old Oricon chart. There isn't a need for an empty daily chart on an old release. Also please remember to use the Show Preview button :)

Themonkeyofdoom23:55, 28 October 2016

Oh okay!

Thanks~
