Xiao Santiago

Xiao Santiago is a female singer-songwriter from Quezon City. She started writing and performing her own songs about a decade ago as lead vocalist of her former band. From 2009 to 2011, Xiao went into a musical hiatus to focus on her education career. Last year she rekindled her old flame with performing and songwriting which led to performances at local bar gigs and collaborations with various artists. Her music influences include Michelle Branch, Sting, Lisa Loeb, Alex Sparks and Eva Cassidy.

Xiao Santiago is also known for the viral video about the Pork Barrel Scam and Janet Napoles. She protested by writing a song (Dear Janet Napoles) that focuses on the stolen pork barrel, Napoles and the working class' tax money.The virality of the video landed Xiao on the front page of The Philippine Daily Inquirer, GMA News and State of the Nation by Jessica Soho. Xiao also had a live performance along with Filipinos Unite during the Million People March held last August 26, 2013 at the Luneta Park.

Xiao's first single, "SANA", was released in July 2013 at Pinas FM. "SANA" can be requested on Pinas 95.5, i-FM 93.9 and Canadian Pinoy Radio-Montreal.
