GReeeeN

GReeeeN

GReeeeN is a Japanese pop/hip-hop four-member group signed to Universal Music Japan and managed by Edward Entertainment Group.

They made their indie debut in 2006 with the album greeeen. Less than a year later, in 2007, they signed with Universal and released their debut major single "Michi" and they quickly showcased their popularity. After the release of their third single "Ai Uta", it proved the bands popularity even more as it reached #2 on the Oricon charts, charted for 88 weeks, and sold more than 256,000 copies.

One notable characteristic of the group is that none of the members have ever shown their faces in public as a part of GReeeeN, whether in their PVs, CDs, television performances, or the Internet. They have even went as far as censoring their faces during performances. Hide has hinted that after all of the members pass their dentist exam, the group may consider a public appearance, however, in 2009 after they passed they stated that they will still keep their identities secret to avoid any interference with their careers as dentists.

Since GReeeeN's debut, they have released 21 singles, 10 digital singles, 2 split singles, 6 albums, 1 live album, 1 best album and 2 DVDs. They have also released a video game. The groups sixth album Ii ne! (´・ω・`)☆ was released June 19th, 2013.
