Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher (드림캐쳐) is a Korean pop girl group under Dreamcatcher Company, formerly Happy Face Entertainment. They debuted as 5-member group MINX in 2014 but re-debuted as Dreamcatcher with two additional members in early 2017 with the single "Akmong", which was to be their first in a "Nightmare"-themed series. The group released their first mini-album titled Prequel in July, which debuted at #5 on the Billboard World Albums Chart and peaked at #1 on the US iTunes K-Pop Top 100 Chart. At the end of the year following a sold out world tour, Dreamcatcher received critical acclaim from music critics worldwide for their unique sound that incorporated influences of rock and metal music. Their song "Chase Me" was ranked #19 on Billboard's Best K-Pop Songs of 2017: Critics' Picks. Subsequently, Dreamcatcher was listed #3 on Billboard's Best New K-Pop Acts in 2017. Their second mini-album released the following year ranked #1 and #3 for each version on Hanteo's album chart, and peaked at #3 on Gaon and #1 on China's Yinyuetai. It made its debut on the Billboard World Albums chart at #7.

Following their third mini-album in September 2018, it was announced that Dreamcatcher would be debut in Japan in November with a Japanese version of their single "What". The group ended their Nightmare series with their fourth mini-album aptly titled The End of Nightmare in February 2019, and began their new Dystopia theme with the first full-length album Dystopia : The Tree of Language one full year later.

Their sixth Korean mini-album, Dystopia : Road to Utopia, is released this week on January 26th.
