Akaku Moyuru Taiyou is NEWS' second single. It is based on the Phasio song "The Way Home" and is written by the same composers. Akaku Moyuru Taiyou was used as the theme song to Fuji TV's coverage of the Women's Volleyball World Grand Prix 2004. This single reached #1 on the Oricon charts, charted for 14 weeks and sold 251,709 copies, becoming the #31 single of 2004.
