MADARA is the fifth indie mini-album released by Gazette. "Sumire" was only included on the first press of the mini-album. It was reissued in 2006 by KING RECORDS and again in 2010. A DVD with the same name was released two months later including music videos and studio recordings.
The original release reached #38 on the Oricon overall charts and #2 on the indie charts while the 2006 reissue reached #150 on the Oricon overall charts, and charted for one week.
