"DISTANCE" is a pop song recorded by Utada Hikaru, first released in 2001 on her Distance album. It was originally planned as a single, but was later re-arranged into a ballad and released as "FINAL DISTANCE" in the same year.

Disambiguation

There are five versions of "DISTANCE" to be found in Utada's discography. These different versions are:

Found on the "FINAL DISTANCE" single as track #5. It is the same as the standard version, but without Utada's main vocals.

Found on the "FINAL DISTANCE" single as track #2. This remix is dance-heavy and upbeat.
DISTANCE -m-flo remix-
Found on the "FINAL DISTANCE" single as track #3. This remix has a hip-hop theme to it, and contains a sample of Lori Fine's voice from an m-flo intro.
DISTANCE (Budokan Live)
Found on Utada Hikaru in Budokan 2004 - Hikaru no 5 as track #17. The arrangement is similar to the standard version, but with more emphasis on the band.
