Synopsis

One day, Hinata Shouyou saw a Volleyball match on TV, in which the Karasuno Koukou's team won, thanks to the "Little Giant". Hinata was highly inspired by the mysterious volleyball hero, and started to play the sport in his middle-school. Unfortunately, he can't play with a team since he's the only one who entered the Volleyball Club. Despite this, he could create a team, and he could play his first and only match with the Kitagawa Daichi middle school. This team's member was Kageyama Tobio, who got "The King of the Court" as a sobriquet, because of his maximalist and tyrant attitude. Although the Kitagawa Daichi team easily won the match, Kageyama took notice on Hinata's speed and jumping ability, and the fact that he always does his best even if there's no chance of winning. Hinata made a resolution: that one day he would defeat Kageyama. He chose to attend the Karasuno High School, where he could train in volleyball seriously. He was very surprised to find out that Kageyama will be his teammate. Here starts the Karasuno High School's career to the national championship.
