a.mia is a Japanese R&B singer. After her debut with Universal in 2002, she released eight singles and an album. She is currently still with the label as part of the band Little Hippies.
Biography
a.mia was born in Yokohama in 1980 and has had an interest in music since starting piano lessons from an early age. Her debut came with the single "luvmirage", which was used as the opening theme to the TBS Count Down TV series. Following four further single releases, her debut album "Rootie" was released on November 19th, 2003. However, relatively low sales meant that only a few more solo singles were released. In 2006, a new band Little Hippies was formed, with a.mia as the main vocalist.
