contemode is a Japanese record label (sub-label of Yamaha Music Communications) started by Nakata Yasutaka in 2003. Nakata produces (or has produced) all artists on the label. He also collaborates in the design of the album jackets, the artists' fashion, and others.
Every first Friday of the month, the contemode club event "contemode saloon" is performed at Shinjuku OTO. Fashion shows are given as well as music performances by DJs and bands. Nakata most often is the DJ at these events.
