Joanne (죠앤) Korean pop also known as Lee Yeon Ji was originally debuted in 2001 at the age of 13-14. At the time, she was under the spotlight for being one of the few young, rising female solo artists along with BoA, Rottyful Sky, Dana and others. However, due to family matters, Joanne gave up singing and left for the United States.

In 2012, she participated Superstar K4 (Hangul: 슈퍼스타 K4) of the South Korean television talent show series but got eliminated. Her career ended in the same year returned to the United States , living a normal life office workers . Joanne began to work on June 2014 in the United States for a logistics company's accounting department.

26 Nov 2014 Joanne got into a car accident in Los Angeles, California. Falling into a coma afterwards, she passed away on December 2 at the age of 26.
