BORIS is a Japanese rock band.
Overview
Boris is considered stoner rock, but they are also hailed under the noise-rock genre for their collaborative efforts with noise groups such as Merzbow and Haino Keiji. Their songs range from fast and heavy punk style, to long (up to 30 minutes long) progressive-style songs, with heavy guitars but many slow beats. They started around 1994, and in 1996 Nagata, now ex-drummer, left the band. The line-up hasn't changed since.
