Megamasso (メガマソ) is an indies visual-kei and oshare-kei band currently signed to NXSIE RECORDS. Started up by Ryohei (the former lead guitarist and leader of Ayabie) near the end of 2006. They have a fun filled experimental sound mixing together pop/rock, piano ballads, and a heavier sound here and there. For the band's name Ryohei had wanted a four syllable name since he was in his first band, but in Japanese characters as he didn't care how it was romanized in English. He chose メガマソ because the syllables "me ga ma so" sounded beautiful. They started to work with a producer after the release of Hoshi Furi Machi nite, till then Ryohei had been the producer.
