Kobuchi Kentarou is one of the two members and the main composer of Kobukuro.

He began playing the guitar because he was fan of the guitarist Okuda Tamio, member of UNICORN.
He was 18 when his mother died. The song Tooku de.. included on Kobukuro's first indie album, Saturday 8:pm was inspired by her death. Years later Kobuchi composed the song Tsubomi, also inspired by her death.
He worked as termite exterminator after he finish high school.
He is commonly known as "Kobukuro's smaller one" (コブクロの小さいほう) .
He is good at drawing. He has designed some of Kobukuro's covers and tour goods.
He is a fan of Mr.Children and BUMP OF CHICKEN.
