FUNNY GENE was a Japanese pop duo from 1997 to 1999 under the label King Records. The group released their first single, entitled "MOON", in 1997. But, they didn't receive their first smash hit until a year later when the single "Love2 Power" was released and used as an insert theme for the dorama Happy Mania. However, the group disbanded on September 1999.
