Nao

Nao is a former Japanese pop singer and member of the group BALANCe. Nao got her start in 1997 when she auditioned for the 2nd Nagoya Auditions for the TV show ASAYAN but didn't pass. Three years later, she tried her luck once more by auditioning for avex dream 2000. Even though she made to the finals, she didn't win the contest. However, shortly after, she formed the three member group BALANCe under the name NAO with EMA and KIYOKO. The group released three singles before calling it quits in 2002.

After BALANCe's breakup, Nao embarked a solo career with the release of her first single, entitled "Jisei", in 2003. Nao also started an acting career by appearing in Japanese and Taiwanese films. However, in 2007, Nao announced on her website that was going to retire from the world of show business.
