Mizérable is Gackt's first single and mini-album. It was released in 1999. Mizérable was released after Gackt left MALICE MIZER and continues in somewhat of the same vein of fanciful, gothic-sounding music, albeit more minimal in presentation as there are no harpsichords, howling winds or other such devices present. Two months after Mizérable mini-album was first released, the song was released again in the form of a single. The song Storywas re-released with new Japanese lyrics on the 再会〜Story〜 (Saikai ~Story~) single.
