E'm~grief~
E'm~grief~ (/ˈaɪm/) is a four member visual-kei band. They officially formed in May of 2008, under the indies label UNDER CODE PRODUCTION in Osaka City, with the band concept of I'm~grief~. They lacked a bassist until the release of their first mini-album Daze; their producer, KISAKI, would fill in for bass recording. The band is known for their experimental music mixing together rock, metal, and a wide array of various (almost random) electronic sounds.
In October of 2010 it was announced that after their December 29th live at LIVE HALL aube shibuya, E'm~grief~ would be going into an indefinite activity pause. A week before the hiatus the group will release their first best of album, a 13-track disc titled grief.

Biography
E'm~grief~ was formed on May 20th, 2008 already signed with a label, the independent visual-kei and oshare-kei production company and label UNDER CODE PRODUCTION. The line-up was Rita (ex-CalorZe) on vocals, Cecir (ex-Juka live support) on guitar and cello, Yuze (also ex-Juka live support) on guitar and sound programming, and Majyu (ex-Jikuu Kaizoku SEVEN SEAS) on drums. Until after their mini-album release, KISAKI would be their guest bassist for recording only.
The band's debut single "Eternal melody" was released about two months later, on July 2nd. It was a part of a two consecutive month single release plan. Their second single and the end of the plan, "Pains of aspiration", was released on August 6th. E'm~grief~'s first singles and debut launch took nearly 300 hours of work and production.[1]
Their first live was performed almost two weeks after the release of their second single. It was on August 19th at Shibuya O-WEST as a part of the "Tribute to Phantasmagoria 2008" event, which itself was meant to be a send-off for Phantasmagoria as they would temporarily disband later on in August. The live also tied into the re-release of the tribute album Tribute to Phantasmagoria titled Past New Phase. For the remainder of the year of 2008, the band played a string of six regular lives. They started on September 30th at Shibuya BOXX and ended on December 27th at OSAKA MUSE.
