Kuwana Masahiro (桑名正博) is a Japanese singer and musician.

Information

Kuwana was a troublesome kid growing up. When he was in middle school, he was gained expulsion from the school's principal but was readmitted before the school's graduation ceremony. But, he eventually dropped out of school altogether when he was in high school. He would eventually turn to music and debut as a singer in 1976 with the album Who are you?. His fourth single, Sexual Violet No.1, was called a rock hit when it was used as the Kanebo Campaign Song.

Kuwana was arrested and served a three year term for the possession of cocaine in 1977. When he got out in 1980, he would become an actor and starred in his first dorama Koibitotachi. He would later marry Ann Lewis but divorced her four years later in 1984. Together, the couple had two sons for the four years they got married.

From 1998 to 2002, he would become the vocals for the band THE TRIPLE X.
