Joanne (죠앤) Korean pop also known as Lee Yeon Ji was originally debuted in 2001 at the age of 13-14. At the time, she was under the spotlight for being one of the few young, rising female solo artists along with BoA, Rottyful Sky, Dana and others.

In 2012, she was spotted at Superstar K4 (Hangul: 슈퍼스타 K4) of the South Korean television talent show series.
