Wentz Eiji is a singer, actor and songwriter; and a member of the duo WaT, along with Koike Teppei. He is of German/American decent through his father and Japanese through his mother, though does not speak German or English.

• Started out acting with the role of Chip in the Four Seasons Musical Troupe Production of Beauty and the Beast.
• Became famous as a child actor for becoming a regular on the NHK's television show "Tensai Terebi-kun".
• Wentz Eiji, who is said to get his handsome looks from his German-American father, is widely known as "the half-American who can only speak Japanese." It is known that he is the only member of his family that can't speak English.
• His mother knows English because she's married to an American. His brother knows English because he had a English tutor. So whenever his parents get mad at him and they speak in English, he doesn't even know they're mad at him.
• Already being known as a child actor, he started to stand out again when he was on variety shows in 2005. Despite his handsome looks, because of his spirited personality he was considered a young upcoming comedian.
• Wentz says he loves Yamazaki Housei, a very famous comedian. Because it's a fact they starred in "Tensai Terebi-kun" together. In a episode on November 21, 2005 of Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ, Yamazaki said "he was the first person to respect me."
