Mizérable was released after Gackt left MALICE MIZER and continues in somewhat of the same vein of fanciful, gothic-sounding music, albeit more minimal in presentation as there are no harpsichords, howling winds or other such devices present. Two months after Mizérable mini-album was first released, the song was released again in the form of a single.
