"Ika SUMMER" is the sixteenth major single released by ORANGE RANGE. The title track was used as the Kanebo "ALLIE" CM song. The B-side SJK06 is a re-arrangement of their song Soujuuko from their indies mini-album Orange Ball, and was performed live at ORANGE RANGE's "FANTAZICAL" tour. Originally the song was announced as being called "SJK 07", however it was changed to "06" due to this version of the song being created then. The title of the single is a pun, as "Ika Summer" sounds like the Japanese word "ikasama" meaning 'fake'. This is because the song, despite being a summer song, is released in spring. To further the pun, on the cover of the single a squid (called 'ika' in Japanese)'s tenticles are seen. The single reached the #3 postion, charted for 8 weeks and sold 59,304 copies.
