KUSU KUSU was a Japanese band from 1989 to 1992. The band formed in 1988 after Jiro, MU, and Makoto decided to form in band in Hokkaido. They held their first live a few months later at a live house in Shimokitazawa. They soon competed in the Miyake Yuuji Smart Band Paradise contest, which they won the challenger award with the song Orende Banana. By the end of 1989, the group released their first album, entitled Hikari no Kuni no Kodomotachi, on a indies label. They also held their first one man live with 1,000 people attending.

In 1990, the band released their major single, Sekai ga Ichiban Shiawase na Hi, under the label Polydor Records. But at the end year, the group would hold their last live tour, entitled Nihon Zenkoku Odori Meguri Tour, as they went into hibernation in 1994.
