"Suiren" is Kawano Marina's sixth single, and her second under Teichiku Imperial Records. The first-press limited edition version of the single came with a DVD, as well as a bonus track.
The title of the song is unique in that it is not a real word when read in Japanese normally--it would normally be read "Mizu koi" (watery love) if pronounced as written in kanji. The promotional material for the song stated that the title should be read "Suiren" instead, which if written with its normal kanji, means "water lily". This creates an interesting double meaning for the title, reading it how it would normally be read vs. how it should be read.
