History

Rosy Chronicle began on June 29, 2022 with the revival of the Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit. The five new Kenshuusei members, under the name Hello Pro Kenshuusei Unit '22, were revealed to be Matsubara Yulia, Onoda Karin, Hashida Honoka, Murakoshi Ayana, and Uemura Hasumi. The unit had their first performance at at @JAM EXPO 2022 on August 28th and later performed as the opening act for ANGERME on November 30th and for Morning Musume '22 on December 10th.

On May 23, 2023, it was announced that two more members would be added to the unit: Yoshida Hinoha and Kamimura Rena. Furthermore, it was announced that Hello! Project was planning to debut a new group in 2024, confirming the Hello Pro Kenshuusei unit as members.

On June 16, 2024, it was announced at the Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2024 6gatsu "Lily" that the new group when would be named Rosy Chronicle, and two additional Kenshuusei members would join the group: Shimakawa Hana and Soma Yume. The group would start their activities at the Hello! Project 2024 Summer ALL OF US tour on July 13th.

The name was created by combining the words "Rosy" (meaning "full of hope" or "full of happiness") and "Chronicle" (a record of events year by year), with the name derived from the hope that the history of Rosy would be passed down from generation to generation.
