ANGERME
S/mileage is the first major Hello! Project unit to consist of Hello! Pro Egg members. The unit was announced on Tsunku's blog on April 4, 2009 and was given its name on May 8th, 2009. The members at the time of the announcement were Wada Ayaka, Maeda Yuuka, Fukuda Kanon and Ogawa Saki though Tsunku has said that in order to make the best group possible, additional members may be added or current members may be removed. However their first indies single has been already recorded, and a PV has been filmed, so the current line-up might be definitive.

Trivia
- Three of the group's original members were also in the unit Shugo Chara Egg!: Wada Ayaka, Maeda Yuuka and Fukuda Kanon.
- Tsunku explained the group name as being a three-way pun: "As you can see, it's taken from both Smile and Mileage. It means the age of Smiles, also takes meaning from Smile and Age."
